Rats

White, autumnal shines the moon on the lonesome yard
Fantastic shadows fall in the dead mans room
Silence lives in windows and watches silently
The rise of the rats to rob the dead mans corps.

Something in your eyes tells me that I better go
You don't know me at all
You say I could stay but I fear our distance's clear
Didn't you know me at all?
I knew it had to come this way
Sooner or later 'til today...
You didn't know me at all!

I can hear you say that it isn't my mistake
You don't know me at all!
Something in my heart tells me it'll be okay
You'd never known me at all
Well you don't need what I can give
I will stop acting like a thief
You don't know me at all!

And whisking, whistling here and there a smell of exhalation
Ghostly under moonly shine the smell of dark abortion
And they are screaming mad full greed and enter home and barn
Icy winds grin in the dark and victims wait for doom...

Comment: Inspired by a poem of Georg Trakl, an austrian poet. Expressionism. The middle part is a Hendersongs rocker.
